The Monkeywrench distortion continues the Hardware Series ethos. It's the classic "black & white" distortion circuit that's been tweaked to work better to my ears. Little better bass response and a more rounded top end. I went with assymetric LED clipping which means you give up some gain for a more open, amp-like sound.
Don't worry there's still plenty of gain but I wanted to show off the versatility of a good distortion circuit and made sure the Monkeywrench can do everything from low gain blues all the way up to heavy metal.
The new v1.5 Monkeywrench has been upgraded with CNC'd enclosures and Lumberg jacks. Still keeps the hand stamped labels and industrial look that makes all the Hardware Series Tools for Tone.
