The Hook & Loop is my favorite fuzz sound. I love that lofi, dying fuzz sound and this fuzz does all that. The term hook and loop is the generic name for velcro and this pedal does that velcro, tearing tone.
The circuit is a classic two transistor fuzz at heart with an added knob to adjust the bias of the transistor. Turned all the way the transistor is perfectly biased and the Hook & Loop behaves like a FF style circuit. Turn the bias down and the fuzz gets spittier and more gated.
There's also a tone knob to dial in how wooly or crispy you want the sound. This gives flexibility to adapt to various guitars, pickups, and music styles.
